Privacy & analytics

We use first-party project analytics to understand interest in this benchmark and improve its website. When enabled, a Cloudflare Worker receives events and stores them in a private Cloudflare D1 database.

What is recorded

Page views and their order within a session (including the previous tracked page), access times, IP address, approximate country, region/state and city, device and browser category, referring website, campaign parameters, foreground time, scroll depth, and selected interactions: paper and code links, leaderboard filters and sorting, chart changes, and successful citation copies. Search text is never sent.

A random browser identifier is stored in localStorage and a session identifier in sessionStorage. These estimate browsers and return visits; they do not identify a person. We do not use browser fingerprinting. Clearing storage or using another browser changes the identifier.

IP addresses and approximate locations come from the connection information provided by Cloudflare and are stored with event timestamps. Locations can be unavailable or reflect a VPN/proxy exit rather than your actual location. We do not request browser geolocation permission. We do not save full browsing URLs, arbitrary query strings, or form inputs in the analytics database. Optional utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term and utm_content parameters are saved; do not include personal information in campaign links.

Detailed events are kept for 90 days; daily aggregate counts are retained longer. Data is accessible through the project owner's Cloudflare account and is not published in the repository. Foreground time and clicks indicate activity, not confirmed reading or downloads.

Project owner testing

Mark this browser as the owner to exclude future activity from ordinary visitor reports. This is a self-declared classification, not a login or permission to read data. Existing records are unchanged.
